Children's Ministry

Every Sunday morning during the worship service we take a moment to include a time for the younger children. They have the opportunity to gather together and have a "mini" lesson just for them. Usually the lesson tries to tie in with the sermon they will be hearing, helping them to understand the key concept. More times than not the children teach us a lesson! This is truly a special time in our service and we welcome any visitors to join us.

We have an active Children's Choir. The Children's Choir does two musicals each year, one in the spring and one at Christmas.

During the school year many of our children participate in Bible Drills. This is a time to become familiar with the Bible. They learn the books of the Bible and how to locate them quickly. In the spring, they have an opportunity to use their newly learned skills in church, association and state competitions. We are proud of the competency of our children in these areas.

Our girls participate in Girls in Action following choir on Wednesday. This is an attempt to make our girls more aware of the mission opportunities in our world. We are in the process of starting a Royal Ambassador program for the boys to instill an interest in missions within them.

During the summer, we provide Fabulous Fridays, a weekly opportunity for Bible Study, fellowship and fun. The final week of Fabulous Fridays the children take a field trip and there is also a family outing that brings all the families together for a time of fellowship.

CHILDREN FIRST
Our Nursery area is making many changes! A special thank you to SUSAN WOOD for putting together a list (posted on the bulletin board in the hall) for nursery workers with your particular Sunday. Please note we have several blanks that need to be filled in and we would welcome your participation!! When we all pull together we are truly able to show Christ’s love to the young families in this community!

BIBLE BUDDIES
Our Bible Buddies continue to meet every Sunday evening from 5-7pm. We are very proud of the children in this group they have gone above and beyond to learn many of the Bible skills we as adults have yet to learn. They are learning all the books of the bible and how to locate them quickly (within 10 seconds), memorizing scriptures, and even learning a few key passages. Oh yeah, did I mention these children are in the first through third grades. WOW!
